FAQs
Why use Preloved and Saved instead of selling the item myself?
Got a question about selling with Preloved and Saved? You’re probably not the only one. Here are the answers to the things sellers ask us most — from fees and postage to payments and what happens when your item sells.
If you enjoy photographing items, writing listings, answering messages, dealing with offers and keeping track of sales, selling it yourself may suit you perfectly.
Preloved and Saved is for people who have good items to sell but don’t want the hassle of managing the whole process themselves. You send us the item details and photos, and we create and manage the listing, deal with buyer enquiries and offers, process the sale and guide you through postage or collection when it sells.
You keep 70% of the final item selling price and we keep 30% for providing the selling service.
How much does it cost to sell?
There are no upfront listing fees. When your item sells, you receive 70% of the final item selling price and Preloved and Saved keeps 30% for providing the selling service.
Postage paid by the buyer is separate and is not included when calculating your 80% share.
Who decides the selling price?
We’ll suggest a realistic selling price based on the item, brand, condition and current resale market.
The price will be agreed with you before the item is listed.
Do I keep my item while it is listed?
Yes. You keep the item with you while it is listed.
You only need to package and send it once we confirm that it has sold and payment has been received.
What happens when my item sells?
Once tracking confirms that your item has been delivered, the buyer has 48 hours to report any problem with the order.
If no problem is reported during that time, the sale is treated as successfully completed and we’ll arrange payment of your 80% share.
For collected items, the 48-hour period begins once collection has been confirmed.
If a problem is reported, payment may be temporarily held while we look into it.
Who pays for postage?
Postage is paid by the buyer and is separate from the item selling price.
Postage is not included when calculating your 70% share.
Do I have to buy the postage label myself?
No. Preloved and Saved will arrange the shipping service and provide you with the postage label or relevant postage instructions once the sale has been confirmed.
You are responsible for securely packaging the item and sending it within the timeframe provided.
