Seller Terms
By submitting an item to Preloved and Saved, you agree to the following Seller Terms. These terms are designed to keep things simple and fair for everyone.
1. Our selling service
Preloved and Saved provides a managed selling service for accepted preloved items. We prepare and manage your listing, communicate with buyers and manage the sale through to completion.
2. Selling fee
You keep 70% of the final item selling price and Preloved and Saved retains 30% as our selling fee.
There are no upfront listing fees. Our selling fee is only deducted when your item successfully sells.
Postage paid by the buyer is separate and is not included when calculating your 70% share.
3. Pricing
We will agree an appropriate asking price with you before your item is listed. We may suggest price reductions or consider reasonable buyer offers, but we will not sell your item below an agreed minimum price without your permission.
4. Your item
You must own the item or have permission from the owner to sell it. Items must be genuine and must not be counterfeit, stolen or otherwise prohibited from sale.
You must tell us about any faults, damage, alterations or other information that could reasonably affect a buyer’s decision to purchase the item.
We reserve the right to decline or remove an item if we believe it is unsuitable for sale.
5. When your item sells
Once your item has sold and payment has been received, Preloved and Saved will manage the order, postage or collection and communication with the buyer.
You will receive 70% of the final item selling price once the sale has been successfully completed in accordance with the payment process set out below.
6. Seller payments
Seller payments are not made immediately after an order is placed.
For posted items, once tracking confirms delivery, the buyer will have 48 hours to report any problem with the order. For collected items, the 48-hour period begins once collection has been confirmed.
If no problem is reported within this period, the sale will be treated as successfully completed and we will arrange payment of your 80% share.
Seller payments will be made by bank transfer using the bank details you provide to Preloved and Saved.
If a buyer reports a problem, your payment may be temporarily held while the matter is reviewed and resolved.
Postage paid by the buyer is separate and is not included when calculating your 80% share.
7. Buyer returns and refunds
As an online retailer, Preloved and Saved must honour applicable consumer rights.
If a buyer legally cancels their purchase, returns an item or is entitled to a refund because an item is faulty, damaged or materially different from its description, the seller payment may be delayed or cancelled.
If an item is returned in acceptable condition, it may be offered for sale again with your agreement.
8. Lost or damaged parcels
Preloved and Saved will arrange delivery using an appropriate tracked delivery service where postage is required.
If an order is lost or damaged in transit, Preloved and Saved will deal with the buyer and make any appropriate claim with the delivery company or shipping provider.
Carrier compensation and insurance limits vary by service and item type. Higher-value or excluded items may require a different delivery service or additional protection.
Seller payment may be held until any delivery claim or refund has been resolved.
9. Withdrawing your item
You can ask us to remove an unsold item from sale by contacting us.
Once an item has been sold to a buyer, it cannot normally be withdrawn unless the order is cancelled.
Please tell us promptly if an item is no longer available.
10. Unsold items
If an item does not sell, we may contact you to discuss reducing the price, continuing the listing or removing the item from sale.
You remain the owner of the item unless and until it is successfully sold.
11. Our right to remove an item
Preloved and Saved may refuse, pause or remove a listing where we reasonably believe an item is unsuitable, incorrectly described, prohibited, counterfeit or may cause a problem for a buyer.
12. Agreement
By submitting an item and agreeing for us to list it, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Seller Terms.
13. After your item sells
Once your item has sold and payment has been confirmed, Preloved and Saved will contact you with the next steps.
If the item is being posted, you will be responsible for securely packaging the item and sending it within the timeframe provided. We will provide the relevant postage instructions.
If collection has been agreed, we will provide the information needed to arrange this.
Please do not post, hand over or otherwise release an item until Preloved and Saved has confirmed that the order has been successfully placed and payment received.
Self-Service Selling
Preloved & Saved allows approved users to list their own preloved items for sale through the website.
Sellers are responsible for providing accurate photographs, descriptions, sizing, condition information and pricing for their items.
Preloved & Saved may review, refuse, edit or remove listings that do not meet our selling guidelines or that contain prohibited, misleading or inappropriate content.
There is no fee to list an item. When an item sells, Preloved & Saved deducts a selling fee of 10% of the item sale price, subject to a minimum fee of £1.
The seller is responsible for keeping the item available while it is listed and for dispatching it to the buyer within the stated dispatch period after receiving confirmation of sale.
Sellers must package items appropriately and use the agreed delivery method. Proof of postage should be retained until the transaction has been completed.
Sellers must not list counterfeit goods, stolen goods, unsafe products, prohibited items or goods they do not have the right to sell.
Sellers must accurately disclose any faults, damage, alterations or signs of wear.
Payment to the seller will be made after the transaction has been completed in accordance with our payment and payout policy. Refunds, disputes, returns or chargebacks may delay or reduce a seller payout where applicable.
Sellers must not attempt to move a transaction away from Preloved & Saved after making contact with a buyer through the platform in order to avoid our selling fee.
Preloved & Saved provides the marketplace through which buyers and sellers can transact. Under the self-service option, the item remains in the seller’s possession and the seller is responsible for dispatching the item to the buyer.
Payments & Seller Payouts
When an item sells, payment is collected through Preloved & Saved.
Preloved & Saved deducts a selling fee of 10% of the item sale price, subject to a minimum fee of £1 per item sold.
The remaining balance belongs to the seller and will be paid after the transaction has been successfully completed.
Seller payouts may be delayed where there is a refund, return, delivery problem, payment dispute or chargeback.
Sellers are responsible for providing accurate payout details.
